The Junior Technical Analyst will support the Ministry of Environment to achieve project objectives by delivering the planned outputs on schedule while supporting UNEP to provide technical and operational support. The Junior Technical Analyst main duties and responsibilities will include: • Investigating and analyzing technical-related issues on relevant topics for the project. • Provide technical information, data, statistics, and inputs for reports. • Provide technical analysis for assessments and deliverables and technical backstopping for field activities. • Oversee the development of capacity building activities • Provide inputs to the reporting obligations of the project to the donor, including consistency with project's delivery, budget monitoring and identification of challenges and lessons learnt • Monitor progress of project activities and results and identify corrective measures to overcome challenges for project implementation. • Organize Project Steering Committee meetings and other relevant meetings, workshops, trainings, consultations, and communications efforts (as necessary). • Participate in technical team meetings. • Promote knowledge sharing and awareness raising activities.
