The specific objectives are: • To assess the sustainable performance of the buildings and carry out rapid energy and resources (water and materials) audits of different typologies (residential, and non-residential buildings) in the different Zimbabwe’s climate zones for thermal comfort. • To conduct feasibility study with using the EDGE software to establish the best green building solutions for the country’s different climate zones . • To develop a green building rating and certification system for Zimbabwe that will enforce the adoption of energy efficiency measures in the building sector in the country. • To conduct capacity building workshops for stakeholders (GBCZ’s members) on green building rating, EDGE software and certification system. • To conduct a gap analysis for the sustainable design strategies and performance of Zimbabwe sustainable building code and propose improvements if needed based on international best practices.
