The United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimensions of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment. UNEP hosts various Multilateral Environmental Agreements, including the Carpathian Convention. This position is with the UNEP's Regional Office for Europe / Vienna Programme Office and is located at the Vienna duty station. Under the overall guidance of the Director of the Europe Office and direct supervision by Head of the Europe Office / Vienna Programme Office – Secretariat of the Carpathian Convention, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
