The United Nations Secretary-General is responsible for the investment of the assets of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF). The Secretary-General has delegated this responsibility to the Representative of the Secretary-General for the investment of the assets of the UNJSPF (RSG). The RSG heads the Office of Investment Management (OIM), which manages a $95+ billion multi-asset class, global investment portfolio, about 85% of which is actively managed in-house. Asset classes under management comprise global equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, timber, and commodities. The Head of Risk Strategy reports to the Chief of Risk and Compliance (D-1). The Head of Risk Strategy will drive the full implementation of Enterprise-Wide Risk Management in the Fund, will lead the coordination of the portfolio of strategic projects carried out by Risk Management and Compliance, and will be responsible for the development and execution of the governance-related aspects of the overall program. This position will also take on the responsibility of establishing formal governance and oversight over Sustainability Risk, aid in the preparation of internal sustainability processes and related process maps, and the definition of sustainability roles and responsibilities, prepare and maintain a sustainability risks control matrix, assess existing sustainability internal controls, and develop and implement new controls as needed. This position will also liaise with Finance to prepare for IFRS S1 and S2 reporting.
