The incumbent is responsible to the Director of Communications and to the Senior Donor Relations Officer, (Germany Lead). • Supports the development and implementation of the communications strategy in Germany, Austria and Switzerland; maps, analyses and target strategic media across Germany, Austria and Switzerland; liaises with Headquarters Departments to coordinate messaging and ensures that UNRWA messaging is relevant to global themes and receives maximum coverage. • Works on the development in German language of all UNRWA public relations materials including content management, design and publications' dissemination through UNRWA website and social media platforms. • Works with Communications team to create and implement engaging events aimed at various UNRWA stakeholders; develops Agency-wide initiatives and public information events in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. • Supports the advocacy work carried out by the Communications Division; assists in the development of UNRWA advocacy campaign strategies, liaising within the Agency and with partner organizations to ensure coordinated advocacy and accurate information. • Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisors.
