This position is located in the Programme Office in Mauritania (POMRT) with duty station in Nouakchott, under the Regional Office for West and Central Africa (ROSEN), Division for Operations (DO) of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). The Associate Project Officer (Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling) will work under the direct supervision of the Programme Coordinator (TIPSOM) located in ROSEN, and the overall guidance of the UNODC Regional Representative, ROSEN. The Head of the POMRT, in coordination with the Sahel Project Coordinator (Sahel Region), will act as the Additional Reporting Officer. The position may require significant travel (25%).
