The consultant will contribute to the following CTCN PALO objectives and deliverables: • Strengthening the collaboration with the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Secretariat under the UNFCCC Financial Mechanism in the preparation of GCF concept notes and Project Preparation Facility (PPF) applications • Enhanced capacities of National Designated Entities (NDE) of the CTCN across Asia and the Pacific along with other stakeholders on climate adaptation and mitigation technologies, including community-based technological solutions in communities at risk of conflict due to climate change impacts • Facilitation of awareness raising, identification of Collaborative Research, Development and Demonstration (RD&D) needs and potential RD&D projects, and support in preparing the establishment of twinning arrangements • Effective support for global processes related to the provision of Technical Assistance including management of the Technical Assistance under the collaborative RD&D initiative • Effective implementation of regional collaborative activities and exploration of partnership opportunities
