Expected duration

The duration of the contract will be of 6 months, starting on the 3rd of June, finishing on the 3rd of December 2019.

Duties and Responsibilities

The United Nations Environment (UNEP) is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment.

The Individual contractor will work under the overall supervision of the Executive Secretary, Secretariat of the Minamata Convention and under the direct supervision of the Senior Policy Coordination Officer for the meeting logistics and of the Administrative Officer for administrative and human resources matters.

Qualifications/special skills

Academic Qualifications: The individual contractor should have as qualifications High School Diploma.
Experience: the individual contractor should have at least ten years of progressively responsible experience in organization of meetings including travel, Umoja, HR and other administrative matters.
Language: English is required, French and Spanish desirable
