Cadre organisationnel

The position is in the Master Data Management (MDM) Section located in New York which reports to the Financial Policy and Internal Controls Service (FPIC), Office of Programme Planning, Finance and Budget (OPPBF), Department of Management Strategy, Policy and Compliance (DMSPC). The incumbent reports to the Financial Information Officer of the Master Data Management (MDM) Section located in New York.

Responsabilités

•Gathers and reviews requirements for development of financial, performance and monitoring reports and provides relevant support to finance users. Participates in the development, programming, testing, debugging and implementation of financial application system servicing OPPFB. Liaises with users to define and specify requirements, develops tests and implements simple computer application systems and programs using UN established standards for IT technologies, programming languages and tools.
•Prepares technical and user documentation for deployed computer application systems, as well as training materials and conducts technical presentations.
•Provides support for deployed computer application systems including version management, data recovery and deployment to users’ offices; performs ongoing reviews with users and developers and responds to user requests.
•Supervises team members as well as performs daily operational tasks of creating and maintaining all types of finance master data for SAP.
•Monitors and addresses requests received pre-set Customer Relationship Management (CRM) workflows.
•Maintains the integrity of finance master data, undertakes data cleansing, enhances the quality of data and provides accurate reports and ensures adherence to Service Level Agreements.
•Escalates problems encountered to the Financial Information Officer.
•Consults/Coordinates with the Office of Programme Planning Finance and Budget (OPPFB) and Office of Human Resources (OHR) MDM Teams, Umoja (SAP) Technical Support Staff, Office of Information Communication and Technology (OICT) help desk and other concerned parties to resolve issues encountered.
•Performs other duties as required.

Formation

High school diploma or equivalent.

Expérience professionnelle

A minimum of seven years of experience in finance, accounting, budget or business administration, information systems management or a related area is required.
Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) such as SAP is required.
Experience in information systems support, customer service management or related area is required.
Experience in Master Data Management is desirable
Experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system such as Siebel is desirable.

Connaissances linguistiques

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of French is desirable.

This job opening is only open to the staff members of the United Nations Secretariat who (1) serve in the duty station specified in the job opening; (2) hold a permanent, continuing or fixed-term appointment; and (3) have been appointed following the review of the Central Review Panel, or upon meeting other regular requirements for the duty station, job level and category and functional area. Staff members holding an appointment limited to service to a specific entity are not eligible to be considered if this position is outside that entity. Passing the Global General Service Test (GGST) is a prerequisite for recruitment consideration in the General Services and related categories in the United Nations Secretariat. Having passed the Administrative Support Assessment Test [in English] at the United Nations headquarters, Economic Commission for Africa, Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia, United Nations Office at Geneva, United Nations Office at Vienna, International criminal tribunal for Rwanda or International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia may be accepted in lieu of the GGST.

This position is subject to local recruitment pursuant to staff rule 4.4 of the United Nations Staff Rules. All staff in the General Service and related categories shall be recruited in the country or within commuting distance of each office, irrespective of their nationality and of the length of time they may have been in the country.
