ESCWA new knowledge repository includes all ESCWA publications 1974- to date, with all metadata fields at the first stage. All Uploaded material into the knowledge repository includes all metadata fields (in En and Ar).

Duties and Responsibilities

Quality check of ESCWA records in the United Nations Digital Library (UNDL) before exporting all records to the repository. After migration to UNDL ensure all metadata fields are complete, accurate and up to the standards. Create and edit repository records. Collect knowledge records from different ESCWA databases: speeches, press releases, infographs. Index new records: events documents, speeches, press releases and Multimedia materials: infographs and videos (in English and Arabic). Digitization of records. Metadata entering and updating. Assist in other ad-hoc activities related to the project as instructed

Qualifications/special skills

Skills: Demonstrated experience with taxonomy creation, metadata and cataloging, converting, migrating, and bulk uploading of digital assets is desirable.
Skills
Broad knowledge of digital repository functions, services, and requirements is desirable.
Skills
Experience in indexing of knowledge materials and using controlled language tools is desirable.
Academic Qualifications: A university degree in Library, documentation, Information Management, knowledge management or related field is required;
Experience: 3 years' experience in Library, documentation, Information Management, knowledge management or related field is required;
Language: Fluency in oral and written English and Arabic is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is desirable
