Duration of Contract: 3 months
Objective:
The assignment is to support Property Management Unit - PP&E to enter data of the physical verification of each year from October to December. ECA manages around 700 capitalised (Assets) and 8000 non- capitalised equipment (serialised equipment)
Responsibilities:
Under the overall direction of PMU Chief and the direct supervision of the Supervisor of PP&E, the verification clerks will be assigned to perform the following tasks:
1. Daily, compile the completed verified properties on spread sheet and submit it to the Supervisor for approval;
2. Enter data as reported by the physical verification team and approved by the supervisor of PP&E;
3. Cross check and verify the Umoja against the report provided by the physical verification Team;
4. Report on the discrepancies and submit it to the Supervisor for decision;
Competencies:
• Knowledge of Property Management system of tracking, serialization and coding systems.
• Ability to reconcile records from different sources and to prepare reports on a wide variety of data electronically.
• Ability to meet deadlines and deliver outputs within prescribed time

Academic Qualifications: High school diploma, micro-soft applications i.e. excel application and data management is required. Additional IT education, strong data entry and data management experience is an asset.
Experience: At least 6 years of progressively responsible experience in the field of Supply Chain Management, business administration/ accounting or IT is required. Experience in Inventory and warehouse is an advantage.
Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required. Excellent English writing ability is a must. Knowledge of French or another official United Nations language is an advantage.
