The consultant will coordinate the organization of the regional high-level forum on "Equality and Inclusion" (February 2021) to address the challenges identified in selected pieces of the literature and provide dialogue platform for all stakeholders to agree on: (1) a common understanding of inequality in the Arab region, and (2) possible interventions that put the region on the right track toward equality and leaving non one behind principles.

The total duration of the Consultancy is 4 months, starting the day of signature of the contract.
UNESCWA's Cluster 2 on Gender Justice, Population and Inclusive Development is seeking to hire the services of a Coordination Consultant to support the Cluster in undertaking associated functions as presented below.
Academic Qualifications: A Master's degree in social sciences, international relations, international development or law is required. A Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of experience would be acceptable.
Experience: A minimum of 6 years of experience of work with international development or humanitarian agencies, preferably on project implementation or management is required.
Experience in partnership development with development organisations, including non-governmental organisations and other stakeholders is desirable.
Experience in coordination and liaison functions with internal and external actors is desirable.
Networks among CSOs and other stakeholder organisations in the Arab region is desirable.
Experience in working on social affairs is desirable.
Language: Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
