The Center of Excellence - Enterprise Applications - OICT ( Formerly Inspira Support Center ) was created in September 2009 in Bangkok to support the introduction of PeopleSoft and Web based applications for human resources talent management for the UN Secretariat globally. To further develop the compliance and technical needs for the Support Centre, we require expertise of Full Stack .NET Developer.
Objective :
The consultant with full .NET expertise would help and support to further develop the compliance and technical needs for the UN Web portals and their integrations with other systems.
Bangkok
The Center of Excellence - Enterprise Applications - OICT ( Formerly Inspira Support Center ) was created in September 2009 in Bangkok to support the introduction of PeopleSoft and Web based applications for human resources talent management for the UN Secretariat globally.
- Design and develop changes in assigned UN Web Portal projects to meet the dates and objectives using knowledge of complete development life cycle from analysis to deployment.
- Assist the business in defining the right technical portal architecture to support the business requirements.
- Participate in the preparation of all documents related to project development.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of ASP.NET (C#, VB.NET), SQL, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Visual Studio, Web Services, XML, AJAX, Internet, Intranet and Client Server technologies for Portal integration to various systems.
- Design data model/working with relation databases; i.e. MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL.
- Carry out assignments and technical tasks in collaboration with a cross-functional team of developers, DBA, business analysts and quality assurance staffs.
- Represent the team in a professional manner when dealing with internal and external clients.
- Ensure that the service provided adheres to the operational standards for quality and timeliness.
Academic Qualifications: Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in computer science, information systems, mathematics, or related field. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience: - 2-3 years of experience in development and support of web application projects.
- Exposure or knowledge in any one RDBMS (MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc,.)
- The consultant is expected to be proficient in ASP.NET using Visual Studio, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Web Services, XML, AJAX, Internet, Intranet and Client Server technologies.
Language: Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
Consultants will report to Development and Infrastructure Manager, and work closely with the Technical support and development team in the Human Resources Enterprise Support Centre, Bangkok, Thailand.
