Result of Service

Under the supervision of Prevention, Treatment and Rehabilitation Section Team, the consultant will provide materials to UNODC per the previous purposes mentioned. The consultant will perform the following activities:

- Develop Listen First materials, which includes publishing the monthly newsletter, keeping the website content updates, building content for the engagement pages, conducting focus group sessions, casting for live video and engagement with design of videos and science sheets.
- Produce videos and outreach to alumni, identifying links between youth and Listen First programme

Duties and Responsibilities

The purpose of the assignment is to design, develop and produce a comprehensive set of materials for the prevention team in the Prevention, Treatment and Rehabilitation Section to support the Listen First Campaign and increase the implementation of Listen First via an information and experiential sharing platform. UNODC will include Listen First material from all phases including the upcoming newly designed materials in the information portal.

Qualifications/special skills

Academic Qualifications:
An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Communications, Social Sciences, Human Rights or Education is required. A first level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Experience:
• At least 10 years of experience in the field of communications, research, or project implementation is required.
• At least 5 years of experience working in film production to include preproduction, research, managing production and casting talent for documentaries, fiction and PSA. Experience working with UN agencies in this capacity is desirable;
• Experience working with government and non-government partners such as civil society and academic experts in the context of organizing and planning events, facilitating conferences and training events and other high level meetings is desirable;
• Experience and ability to work independently and meet deadlines, in an international and multicultural environment is desirable;
Language: - English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
