Expected duration

The consultancy is expected to last for 2 Months, from 1 June to 30 July 2022.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Undertake a desktop Conflict Vulnerability Assessment of the EASF Member states,
• Develop Early Warning Indicators
• Develop Early Warning Reporting Templates that takes into account human rights, gender, women and youth among others
• Train EASF conflict analysts on early warning processes, tools, and methodologies
• Communicate regularly with EASF Team, African Union Commission, and the OHCHR and take part in regular meeting to brief on progress,

Qualifications/special skills

Academic Qualifications: Bachelor/master’s in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies Diplomacy or related discipline
Experience: More than 10 years’ experience in developing and implementing programme in conflict resolution, early warning and response, gender and youth issues and human rights among others. In addition to a strong research background that includes strong analytical and presentation and communication skills.

Experience in working with an international governmental organization. Experience in working with an international governmental organization

Experience working with early warning systems of the African Union and/or Regional Economic Communities/Regional Mechanisms is an added advantage
Language: Excellent command of English.
