The consultant will be working under the direct supervision of the Knowledge Management (KM) Team Leader, within SPARK/OES.
The consultant is expected to write a script and develop the storyboard of an online eLearning course on” Women, peace and security” This includes:
1. Working with substantive colleagues (subject matter experts) in developing the course: script/content, learning objectives, assessments in Arabic via coaching, template, and similar tasks.
2. Providing examples of course layout and instructions.
3. Create the layout of the learning material.
4. Work with the KM Team to develop the components of the online course.
Remote work model will be applied for this consultancy. During the contract period, weekly meetings between the consultant and the KM and substantive teams will be conducted.
A master’s degree in instructional design, or other related fields is required.
At least 5 years of experience in designing capacity building programs is required.
At least 2 years of experience in developing Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCS) and/or self-paced courses is desirable.
Research, communication and drafting skills and experience are required.
In depth-knowledge of online knowledge and training hubs is desirable.
Fluency in oral and written English and Arabic is required. Arabic must be the mother tongue of the candidate. Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable.
