Duties and Responsibilities

The Information Systems Project Leader reports to the P4 Head, Registration and Eligibility in the Relief and Social Services department, and receives additional guidance from the P5 Deputy Director and D1 Director, Relief and Social Services (RSS) and coordinates and consults regularly with the Chief, Business Engagement Division-IMTD at Headquarters Amman.

- Provides for defining the IMS development and management roadmap within the Relief and Social Services Department (RSSD) and in coordination with the Information management and Technology department (IMTD) and supports its implementation with Agency internal and external stakeholders including the IT Service Centre in Gaza, in delivering projects on time.

- Oversees the preparation of business requirements/change requests based on in-depth business process analysis and manages the translation into technical solutions for business operations through external vendors and internal IT service centre and department

- Oversees the quality assurance and user acceptance testing of any technical solutions for business end user services

- Develops and maintains a detailed project management set milestones and monitors progress against set timelines and resource availability and requirements throughout the project period, identifies project related risks and escalates any such risks in a timely manner.

- Participates in the periodic updates with users at all levels to ensure identified business processes meet end user specifications

- Manages the IT service provider deliverables in meeting requirements and targets as per the signed service contract and/or agreed project information description.

Qualifications/special skills

Education

University degree from an accredited educational institution in computer science, business administration, project management, or a related field.

Experience

At least six years of progressively responsible and relevant experience in the management of complex and resource intensive projects

Three years should relate to the development and implementation of large-scale IT system/software application projects

Minimum of two continuous years of experience in an international working environment or outside the country(s) of which the candidate is a national or holds citizenship, a passport or a national identity number

A project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, AGILE, or equivalent).

Languages

Fluency in written and spoken English.

Knowledge of the Arabic language (desirable)

Additional Information

Type of Contract and Duration: the contract is project funding based and for an initial 6 months, with the possibility of further extension.

The incumbent will be based in Beirut
Remuneration will be set at P3 Level - USD6,490.32 per month
One and a half day annual leave per month
