UNEP OzonAction seeks to engage the services of a consultant to assist in the finalization of the the HPMP, Stage I tranche 3 in Congo.
Accordingly, UNEP requires a consultant to provide technical assistance to the National Ozone Units of Congo
During the assignment, the consultant will work under the supervision of the Regional Network Coordinator of Francophone Network of Ozone Officers, Mr Yamar Guisse.
The consultant will undertake the following tasks in close consultation with the Montreal Protocol Regional Coordinator:
i. Submission of a work plan and time schedule for specific country training:
ii. Guiding the Ozone Officer in preparing and organizing the training. Strong emphasis will be placed on the selection of appropriate participants.
iii. In consultation with the NOU, prepare all training materials including the concept note, agenda,
evaluation questionnaire and country-specific training materials in consultation with the Ozone Officer.
All training elements and materials will be provided to UNEP/ROA for approval at least 2 weeks before the training starts.
iv. Delivering of Refrigeration and Air-conditioning (RAC) training program following 3-day training
programme. The UNEP consultant must be available in the country the day before the workshop starts.
v. Preparing the workshop report with the list of participants, workshop recommendations and workshop evaluation as per the format provided by UNEP/ROA. The final reports have to be submitted to UNEP/ROA within 4 weeks of the completion of the Refrigeration and Air-conditioning (RAC) training
program.
A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in refrigeration or related field/topic. Knowledge of technical issues of ozone depleting substances or experience in the implementation of Montreal Protocol activities is an added advantage.
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position fluency in oral and written French is required. Working knowledge of another UN language is desirable
