- Relevance of content of deliverables

Terms of payment for satisfactory completion of contract.
- The contractor will receive a fee to be agreed with the consultant to perform the activities outlined in this ToR.
- Expected date of payment upon satisfactory delivery and acceptance of output A is 31 March 2023.
- Expected date of payment upon satisfactory delivery and acceptance of output B & C is 31 May 2023.
- Expected date of payment upon satisfactory delivery and acceptance of output D is 31 August 2023.

Under the direct supervision and overall guidance of the Programme Management Officer of Technology and Innovation Section of Trade, Investment and Innovation Division, the consultant will perform the following duties:
1. Carry out research on the main challenges and opportunities faced by women entrepreneurs in the programme countries (Bangladesh, Cambodia, Fiji, Nepal, Samoa, Viet Nam) related to climate change & provide recommendations on how these could be addressed by leveraging innovative financing mechanisms
2. Prepare a concept note for a new CWE flagship programme to address the identified challenges & opportunities through innovative financing mechanisms
3. Identify potential partners in each of the programme countries, plus regional partners, to co-implement the programme with initiate partnership discussions
4. Provide substantive inputs in the development & operationalizing of the programme
- Master´s Degree in Economics, Finance, Environmental science, Business, or a related field.
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree will be considered with 2 additional years of work experience.
- A minimum of five years of experience in the area of climate finance or a closely related field.
- Experience designing and/or implementing accelerator programmes (or similar programmes) with a focus on environmental sustainability, climate change adaptation/mitigation, or green financing is a strong advantage.
- Experience working in Asia-Pacific, in particular in the programme countries, is desirable.
- Experience working on programmes focusing on women’s entrepreneurship and/or access to finance is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills in English are required. Knowledge of any additional languages spoken in programme countries is an advantage.
