Elaboration of a descriptive manual for the creation of a Statistical Observatory of the Social Solidarity Economy in Costa Rica.

• Conduct interviews with various types of social solidarity economy entities and organizations in Costa Rica (cooperatives, solidarismo, communalism, associations that administer water and sewage systems (ASADAS), labor corporations, foundations that carry out business economic activity, associations of producers, workers, guilds, artists or others that carry out business economic activity, Cantonal Agricultural Centers), including chambers and networks, in order to find out to which government institutions they report information.
• Interview public officials of the agencies that collect information on social solidarity economy organizations in Costa Rica in order to explore the possibility of obtaining annual statistics for the Social Solidarity Economy Directorate of the Ministry of Labor, considering the signing of inter-institutional collaboration agreements for the exchange of information.
• Create a proposal of variables to be collected annually for each social solidarity economy organization that can be obtained from existing databases, such as name of the organization, number and gender of members, number and gender of employees, annual income, type of economic activity, legal type, physical address, among others, indicating which government institutions can provide some type of information, specifying the type of information.
• Organize meetings between the management and legal teams of the Directorate of Social Solidarity Economy and the various government institutions that can collaborate with the provision of information to explore the signing of collaboration and information exchange agreements.
• Collaborate in the coordination of the signing of collaboration and information exchange agreements between the Social Solidarity Economy Directorate and other governmental institutions.
• Write a descriptive manual of the final database, indicating the characteristics of the information, the different sources of information and the precautions to be taken when integrating, harmonizing and interpreting the information.
Certificate/Diplomas in Business, Administration and/or Entrepreneurship
Demonstrable experience in working with social solidarity economy organizations.
Fluency in Spanish
