Duties and Responsibilities

¿ Design and development of the Data warehouse dimensional model according to the provided business requirements
¿ Design and development for the OLAP Database using SSAS database objects.
¿ Develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards.
¿ Develop ETL packages.
¿ Design and develop reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using MS Power BI.
¿ Understand the business requirements and develop data models accordingly.
¿ Provide support for existing dashboards and ETLs and apply changes if needed.
¿ Create technical documentation, training materials, and conduct training sessions when needed.
¿ Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications/special skills

Academic Qualifications:

A university degree or master’s degree from an accredited educational institution in information technology, information management, Information systems, computer science, computer engineering, Software engineering, or other related disciplines;

Experience:

¿ A minimum of 3 years of proven technical experience for a bachelor's degree or a minimum of 1 year for a master's degree in MS SQL.
¿ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is highly desirable
¿ Previous experience as an ETL developer with strong data architecture knowledge around data warehousing concepts, SQL development and optimization, and operational support models.
¿ Experience with SQL Server databases as developer.


DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

¿ A clear and familiar understanding of the concepts and best practices of data warehouse ETL design
¿ Demonstrated expertise around the Microsoft SQL Server technologies (primarily SSIS).

Contract Conditions

¿ The duration of the consultancy is 6 to 11 months, extendable according to performance and availability of funds.
¿ Remuneration for this consultancy will be 1,410.70 USD and depend on fund availability, qualifications, and relevant experience.
¿ The incumbent will be based in Gaza.

UNRWA Information Management and Technology Department (IMTD) is seeking a BI Developer to be responsible for automating data transformation using SQL server, design the data acquisition, data staging, loading, and transformation of data through ETL. This is an opportunity to make a big impact and get lots of ownership. We are looking for someone who thrives in the ownership of the product and is self-driven.

The consultant will report administratively and technically to Head Information Technology Service Centre at Headquarter Gaza.
