The Climate Technology Centre promotes the accelerated transfer of environmentally sound technologies for low carbon and climate resilient development at the request of developing countries. In order to facilitate technology transfer, the CTCN hosts a web-based knowledge management system (KMS), http://www.ctc-n.org that aims to provide access to climate technology information, tools, services and training across numerous sectors such as agriculture, energy, industry, water, etc. In order to further develop the site and provide enhanced value to its users, a consultant is sought to import information about climate friendly, or “green”, technologies and vendors from the platforms of selected CTCN partner organizations and on-board them into the appropriate sections of the site’s technology product pages (such as in this example).
The consultant will perform necessary conversion activities in order to ensure that the incoming information is matched to CTCN fields and filled with the correct metadata. The consultant will report to the CTCN Knowledge and Communications Manager and align his/her work activities with the on-going development work of the website. The consultant will also help to keep the site’s content well organized by detecting duplicate information and broken links in order to keep the www.ctc-n.org functioning well.
Objectives, output expectations and performance indicators

Import and on-board information about “green” (or climate friendly) technologies and vendors from the platforms of selected CTCN partner organizations, performing necessary conversion activities in order to ensure that the incoming information is matched to CTCN fields and filled with the correct metadata.
Output 1:
The CTCN’s internet site, www.ctc-n.org, gains requested set of technology product/vendor information that is cleaned and fits according to corresponding CTCN fields.
Objective 2:
Detect and fix duplicate information and broken links on www.ctc-n.org in order to keep the functioning well.
Output 2: The number of duplicate information entries and broken links are significantly diminished.
